Duties of the Deputy for Student/Cultural Affairs

Deputy for Student/Cultural Affairs has been comprised of several subsections, namely cultural affairs, counseling and guidance, physical education, nutrition, welfare and dormitory affairs. The Disciplinary Board and the Commission for Specific Cases are also part of this deputy. The goal of this deputy is to provide a dynamic, lively environment for students who are interested in cultural, artistic and social activities in addition to their scientific activities.

This deputy, with a wide range of sub-sections, seeks to achieve the following goals:

 

• Following-up and implementing the policies assigned by the Ministry of Education, the Student Affairs    Organization and the Welfare Fund of the Ministry of Science.

• Honoring students, faculty members and staff and facilitating offering services to them.

• Providing a part of students’ basic needs like providing accommodation, nutrition, health, insurance and sporting activities.

 Having interaction and collaboration with the internal and external units of the university aiming at achieving the university's major goals.

• Considering and solving students’ personal and social problems or referring them to related departments and monitoring the proper execution of the affairs by the affiliated sections.   

 Making optimal use of student-work capacity and supporting entrepreneurial students.

  Providing information on making use of the facilities offered by the Deputy for Student/cultural Affairs.

• Making use of the economic potentialities of university to provide more suitable services.

• Providing accurate information and census on the affiliated sections of the Deputy for Student/ Cultural Affairs.

• Monitoring cultural, political and social activities of the university.

Planning for the expansion and deepening of Islamic and revolutionary values ​​at all levels of the university.

• Planning and implementing extracurricular activities.

 Establishing communication and cooperation with intellectual, cultural and revolutionary institutions for the further development of intellectual, cultural and artistic activities.

 Monitoring and planning for the development of ideological, political, ethical, and cultural education through holding classes and seminars and cultural, intellectual, and academic conferences; supervising them and making use of the existing potentialities of Islamic and revolutionary institutions.

• Evaluating general ideological, political and ethical statues of the university personnel.

• Providing opportunities for encouraging community members to attend various scientific, political and cultural scenes of society.

• Improving and establishing a healthy public relationship among lecturers, students and staff and planning for the better use of academic resources by the community members.
