An introduction to Afagh University
The non-governmental university of Afagh started it’s activity according to the assigned goals of the ministry of science research and technology, (in accordance with reaching to the goals of the committee of development) in one of the best geographical locations of Urmia city, on year 1387. This university opened activity via the management of 7 full-time and major members of science committee as founders’ committee. the mentioned persons were all major managers of urmia university with perfect management and cultural experiences.

With efforts, schematization and intellectual and scientific support of the experienced founding committee and board of trustees of this university the Non-governmental university of Afagh currently functions on a 20.000 square meter location with 3 faculties of agriculture and natural sources, engineering and economics and humanities on the sections of associates degree, bachelors of arts/science and masters of arts/science on 47 majors.
